Abstract

We analyzed how global temperature (1961-1989) influenced extreme weather (1990-2009) and changes in access to clean water (2010) to predict homicide rates (2011-2015). Results showed mediated pathways, suggesting that the reason why heat predicted homicide was due to increased extreme weather that decreased clean water access.
