Abstract
Two studies examined the moderating effect of dispositional fear of retaliation (FoR) on aggression. Study 1 showed that state aggression was highest for participants that were provoked and had low levels of FoR. Study 2 showed that FoR predicted trait aggression while controlling for narcissism, anxiety, and behavioral inhibition.
