Educational Attainment Influences Negative Outcome Expectancy of Criminal Activity in African-American Males

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of education on the expected outcomes of crime in black males. No previous research addresses this topic. Results show individuals with a GED or high school diploma consider the negative consequences of criminal activity more than individuals with neither.
