Abstract
We examined how feelings of obligation to provide social support impact support-provision experiences among Euro Americans and Indians. Results show evidence that Indians have greater awareness of and are influenced more by feelings of obligation than Euro Americans. Obligation themes were linked with negative valence only for Euro Americans.
