Abstract

College students’ perceptions of fitness facilities and the effects of fitness facilities on exercise-related motivation, commitment to exercise and the use of a fitness facility were investigated. As hypothesized, positive perceptions increased motivation to exercise, which led to higher commitment and more use of a fitness facility.
