Photonovella and the Lived Experience of Dread and Anxiety

Abstract

This study examined the differences between dread and anxiety using PhotoNovella. We asked participants to take photographs of either dread or anxiety and collectively discuss the meaning of them. The results revealed rich, personal, and unique everyday experiences that distinguished feelings of dread from anxiety.
