Children’s Spatial Orientation in the City and in Smaller Villages
- Eva Neidhardt

Abstract
44 German pre-schoolers were tested for their path integration competence: They walked along a path, starting from their kindergarten, either in a city or in a rural village. At six locations, they had to point to the kindergarten entrance. As hypothesized, the village children showed better pointing accuracy (p<.001, η2=.29).
