Abstract

We examined the effect of color–shape associations on feature binding processes by illusory conjunctions and visual search paradigm. We found that illusory conjunctions occurred more frequently in the incongruent conditions than congruent conditions. Visual search was more efficient when the distractors were congruent colored-shape stimuli than incongruent ones.
