Abstract

Despite viewing the same video evidence, jurors reach different legal decisions regarding culpability. Theoretically-derived predictors of visual attention (identification with, predictability and malevolence of police) were investigated with a community sample of 152, along with the implications of biased attention on the interpretation of the video evidence and legal decisions.
