Abstract

The impact of different forms of childhood maltreatment on suicidal ideation (SI) were examined in an adolescent clinical sample. Only emotional abuse significantly predicted SI after controlling for age, sex, and depression diagnosis. Furthermore, social problem-solving abilities buffered this association.
