Abstract

Using longitudinal data on women with/without childhood ADHD, we evaluated relations between childhood ADHD symptoms, late-adolescent responses to social stressors (RSS), and adult internalizing symptoms. With stringent covariates, adolescent RSS significantly predicted adult internalizing symptoms and partially mediated the relation between childhood ADHD symptoms and adult internalizing symptoms.
