Abstract
Five- to 10-year-olds’ evaluations of relational and physical transgressions in different contexts were examined. When transgressions were purposeful, children perceived physical aggression as worse than relational aggression. When transgressors’ intentions were ambiguous, children perceived relational aggression as worse than physical aggression.
