Abstract
We examined the effects of gender and athlete status on mental rotation ability in college students, using the Revised Purdue Spatial Visualization Task. Results showed no differences in accuracy. However, gender and athleticism did affect time taken to complete the task, which may point to differences in mental rotation strategy.
