Abstract

On a non-forced-choice bias task, undergraduates’ self-esteem and perspective-taking ability positively predicted their flexible thinking, but not their bias, in the attractiveness domain. Improving adults’ self-esteem and perspective-taking may increase their flexible thinking, but more work is needed to identify ways to reduce attractiveness biases.
