Serial Order Buffer in Working Memory for Phonological Output Processes: A Case Series Study

Abstract

When you say a list of words out loud, are you using the same cognitive process regardless of the list length? Through a neuropsychological case series study, we find that there is a dedicated “buffer” in working memory storing serial order when there is more than one word.
