Abstract

Analysis of 289 participants’ writing found significant differences in the linguistic patterns used to describe individuals at different life stages as analyzed by LIWC. Participants with more intergenerational contact, as well as those who were older, endorsed less ageist attitudes on ageism measures. Caregiving experiences predicted linguistic patterns.
