Abstract
Depression is commonly addressed with serotonin- and norepinephrine-centered treatments. Pramipexole, a dopamine agonist for Parkinson’s, has demonstrated effectiveness when administered adjunctively to treatment as usual for depression. Patients given pramipexole, both alone and adjunctively, reported improved outcomes during inpatient stay and at follow-up compared to those given treatment as usual.
