Lower Intolerance of Uncertainty but Not Behavioral Inhibition Is Associated with Increased Preference for a Novel Context

Abstract

The personality trait of intolerance of uncertainty, but not that of behavioral inhibition, is related to foraging in a novel context in a human computer-based conditioned place preference task. This was despite the significant positive correlation between the two traits. Information provided about the novel context also modulated preference.
