The Effects of Emotional Content and Emotional Context on False Memory in Older Adults

Abstract

We investigated the effects of emotional content and mood on false memories in older adults tested in the DRM paradigm. Older adults, like young adults, showed greater false recognition for negative lists than for positive or neutral lists. There was no mood effect on older adults’ false recognition.
