Abstract

This study contrasts three methods of measuring team diversity - the Blau index, faultline strength, and multilevel modeling – as predictors of team conflict. All three predicted some aspect of conflict at some time point, but only Blau’s index predicted both relationship and task-oriented conflict at all three time points.
