Abstract

The present study sought to examine relationships between emotion regulation ability and coping strategies. A difference score was calculated for the ERQ, with a positive difference score indicating greater reappraisal and a negative difference score indicating greater suppression. Correlational data showed strong relationships between emotion regulation and coping.
