Abstract
The visual acuity of calico fantail goldfish (Carassius auratus) was determined using a two-alternative forced choice discrimination task. Fish were trained to bite striped patterns that varied from 0.01 to 1.9 cycles per degree. The best performance suggests acuity of 0.6 cycles per degree.
