Abstract

Past research has indicated a negative relationship between the experience of psychological control and individual autonomy, but has not studied the impacts of parental psychological control and individual manipulative versus submissive traits. This study investigates whether experiencing parental psychological control leads to the development of manipulative or submissive traits.
