Abstract

Depression and mindfulness were examined as predictors of posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) among college students. Mindfulness was a significant predictor of PTSS. Mindfulness moderated the relation between PTSS and depressive symptoms, such that individuals with higher depressive symptoms and lower levels of mindfulness were more likely to suffer from PTSS.
