Emotion Regulation As a Mediator between Attachment Security and Friendship Quality in Emerging Adults

Abstract
Contrasting results found in middle childhood (Kerns, Weimer, Gentzler, & Tomich, 2000), emotion regulation was not found to be a mediator the relationship between attachment security and friendship quality among college students. This study also found concerning results regarding the proportion of college students reporting insecure attachment styles.
