Parenting May Moderate Relations between Negative Reactivity and Behavioral Inhibition in Infancy

Abstract

We examined relations among negative reactivity, behavioral inhibition, and positive parenting at child age 6 and 15 months in a large longitudinal sample (N=1,292). Negative reactivity to a Mask Task was related to greater inhibition in a Toy Reach procedure at both timepoints.
