Abstract

Non-heterosexual identities may be revealed before direct disclosures and research has found that when prior knowledge exists, acknowledging one’s identity is perceived more positively than concealing. This study examined whether prior knowledge about a target’s lesbian identity affects trust, stress, and cooperation following the disclosure or concealment of her identity.
