Validation of the Mmpi-2-RF Underreporting Scales in a Firefighter Applicant Population

Abstract
Personality assessments are seeing increased use in personnel selection. A personality measure’s ability to identify potential underreporting is key, as it ensures applicants are not significantly minimizing psychological dysfunction. This study provides evidence for the construct validity of the MMPI-2-RF’s underreporting validity scales in a personnel selection context.
