Abstract

This study explored the relationships between negative urgency, youth’s self-reported conflict with parents and peers, and depressive symptoms. Negative urgency significantly predicted each type of conflict, and depressive symptoms mediated this relationship. This demonstrates the importance of transdiagnostic processes in understanding how psychopathology may be expressed outside of diagnostic criteria.
