Parental Nurturance and Parental Emotion Coaching Moderate the Association between Child Surgency and Child Aggression

Using questionnaire data from parents and teachers of 288 kindergarten children, this study examined whether parental nurturance and parental emotion coaching moderated the association between child surgency and child aggression. Results indicated that child surgency was only linked to child aggression, when parents scored low on nurturance or emotion coaching.
