Young and Older Adults’ Utilization of Memory Strategies across Episodic, Semantic and Prospective Memory

We examined young and older adults’ likelihood of using six memory strategies for episodic, semantic and prospective memory tasks. Age interacted with memory type for several strategies, suggesting that older adults vary their approach based on the particular task they face but in ways that differ from young adults.
