Attachment Styles and Changes in Sexual Orientation from Preadolescence to Adulthood

Abstract

This study investigated whether attachment styles, parental relationship satisfaction or levels of autonomy had an association to changes in individuals’ sexual orientation over time. Results showed that anxious attachment styles and maternal relationship satisfaction in the adolescence stage have associations with changes in sexual orientation.
