Abstract
We assessed neural mechanisms in veterans following treatment for PTSD symptoms while they completed a task that assessed neural activation during maintenance and reappraisal of emotional response to distressing images. Participants with less symptom improvement showed greater activation in the dmPFC, amygdala, and dlPFC than those with greater symptom improvement.
