Emotion Insecurity in the Context of Interparental Conflict Predicts Late Adolescents’ Emotion Regulation

Abstract

The study examined the relations between emotional insecurity in the context of interparental conflict and emotion regulation among 384 undergraduates. Regression analyses showed certain aspects of emotional insecurity such as behavioral dysregulation and involvement into parents’ conflicts were associated with late adolescents’ emotion regulation strategies.
