Abstract

Exposure to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) is associated with negative mental and physical health in adulthood. We explored college students’ knowledge of this association. Students were aware of the cost of ACEs in adulthood, but considered the risk for mental health problems to be higher than for physical health.
