Abstract

Sixty firefighters completed a survey that measured lifetime history of mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI) and psychological symptoms. mTBI frequency was positively correlated with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicidal thoughts. The theoretical contribution to the knowledge base regarding mTBI and psychopathology in an understudied profession is discussed.
