The Role of Stress and Individual Difference Characteristics As Predictors of the Content of Youth’s Self-Narratives.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate stress-induced variations in the content of children’s and adolescents’ narratives about themselves. Although age and gender were not robust predictors of content differences, attachment and perceived stress were. Results have implications for understanding sources of variability in youth self-narratives.
