Investigating the Relationship between Number of Years of Service in Child Welfare and Attachment Classification in a Sample of Child Welfare Professionals

The current study investigated the relationship between years of service and attachment classification in 467 child welfare professionals using the AAI. Attachment classification predicted number of years of service. Dismissing attachment classification predicted more years of service. Entangled attachment classification predicted fewer years of service. Implications and mechanisms are discussed.
