Predictors of Stereotype Threat Susceptibility: Is It Just Mental Toughness?

Abstract

A study was performed examining individual difference constructs that predict stereotype threat susceptibility. Participants completed various measures of personality and beliefs along with a stereotype threat susceptibility scale. The most consistent predictors that emerged were dimensions of mental toughness. Implications and future research are discussed.
