Abstract

Unlike the widely-used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), multilevel-CFA allows for unbiased analysis of repeated patient assessments administered over the course of treatment. An MCFA on posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms from Cognitive Processing Therapy patients indicated that DSM-4 Dysphoric Arousal and DSM-5 Hybrid models fit significantly better than other common structures.
