Abstract

The literature has revealed several factors that partially differentiate suicide ideators from attempters, but no factors accurately separated these two groups. We hypothesized that optimized combinations of many factors would be necessary to accurately classify these heterogeneous groups. Results supported this hypothesis across five large samples (total N = 3,869).
