Abstract

Construing multiculturalism abstractly (e.g., why is important) vs. concretely (e.g. how it can be achieved) led to intentions of positive behavior (increased help and decreased exclusion) toward refugees. Stereotypic beliefs (e.g., warmth) and emotions (e.g., admiration) contribute to the prediction of behavioral intentions.
