Abstract
Mounting concern for the mental health of collegiate athletes has resulted in required mental health screenings for NCAA athletes, but guidelines are lacking for implementation. This study proposes a model for implementing mental health screenings and for follow-up and presents prevalence data on mental illness symptoms of Division I athletes.
