Abstract

Participants rated how strongly they felt 10vignettes involved sexual harassment. The initiator’s sex was counterbalanced. Authoritarianism was measured. Females gave stronger harassment ratings than males. Half the situations were rated as harassment when the initiator was male but not when female. High authoritarian participants less often rated scenarios as harassment.
