Abstract

Participants (N=536) recalled flashbulb memories (FBM) of their discovery of Trump's election over the following year. Results showed memory, arousal, and retellings attenuated with delay. Additionally, politics had a significant effect on arousal and amount of retellings. An interaction between information type and politics on memory was also observed.
