Abstract

Regression was run to assess the best predictors of domestic violence among law enforcement officer candidates. Independent variables included MMPI-2 scores for psychopathic deviate subscales and scale scores for MacAndrews addiction, overcontrolled hostility, dominance, and anger. More overcontrolled hostility, authority problems, and familial discord predicted greater likelihood of domestic violence.
