Abstract

We examined the relationship between aspects of emotional intelligence (perception of emotions, managing one’s own emotions, managing others’ emotions, and utilization of emotions) and psychopathy. The results indicated that psychopathy is predicted by emotional intelligence. Greater management of one’s own emotions and poorer management of others’ emotions best predicted psychopathy.
