Abstract

By implementing logistic regression, we found that parents’ decision of choosing kindergarten program type (full-day or half-day) was influenced by poverty level, race, and mothers’ employment status. Meanwhile, we conducted a moderation analysis and found program type moderated the influence of family income on predicting children’s reading scores.
