PAI Scales As Predictors of Employment Termination in First-Year Law Enforcement Officers

Abstract
We investigated six PAI scales (Aggression, Stress, Mania, Antisocial, Borderline, and Paranoia) as predictors of employment termination for law enforcement officers within one year of being hired. Elevated levels of stress, antisocial personality characteristics, and paranoia predicted employment offer withdrawal and department-requested termination or resignation.
Personality
