Abstract

We examined the effect of performing saccadic eye movements on retrieval of memories for a simulated nonviolent crime. As in past research, we found saccade-induced retrieval enhancement for consistently-handed individuals, as well as an inconsistent-handedness memory advantage. Both effects occurred only on relatively general (versus more specific) cued-recall questions.
